This was our first family vacation in the mountains. We normally take beach vacations in Florida. Due to COVID we chose something different that hopefully would allow us to social distance and stay safe. We chose Bear Camp Cabin Rentals based on reviews and we must say we were not disappointed. The cabin we stayed in Jul 30th- Aug 2nd was "Dancing Bear". It is located in Wears Valley which is not far from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The pictures on the website are exactly what you see when you arrive. The cabin was clean and up to my wife's standards. I enjoyed the scenery of the great outdoors. There are other cabins around, but they are spaced out enough you have privacy. The road to the cabin is narrow, only one vehicle at a time. My wife said it would be nice to have a convex traffic mirror placed in some of the spots so you can see another vehicle coming. We actually met a truck coming in on our way out one of the days. Fortunately we were able to back into a driveway so the truck could pass. Also when it rains the road does become slippery in spots. We chose to drive my Dodge 2500 diesel which is four wheel drive instead of my wife's Camry. We were so glad we did! The driveway is steep and you will park at an incline. This was not a problem for me at all. I expected it based on the description and pictures seen on the website. However, my wife was very anxious about the road leading to the cabin and how we had to park. We enjoyed our stay and the cabin met our expectations. Our 13 year old loved the pool table. My wife was a little alarmed by some of the entries in the "guest book" in the living room. She read the guest entries on our last night there and entered her own. Some guests before us mentioned the cabin being haunted, and so it made for a sleepless night for her! I told her that a good ghost story goes well with the mountains, haha. We definitely plan to return and use Bear Camp again next year.

We stayed in Dancing Bear last week and loved it!! The cabin was very clean and gorgeous. Loved all the windows, high ceilings, and openness! For our family of 6, we had plenty of room and it was less costly than a hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent as always!!

Horace Boyd – 04/29/2018

It was a great cabin. It was quiet and clean. Loved the fireplace and the hot tub! The crazy road leading up to the cabin was a little rough, but other than that a perfect stay!

Kelly Martin – 03/12/2018

Everything was wonderful, the Wi-Fi password was incorrect but not a big deal as it just made for more family time. I would recommend this business to anyone wanting to stay in Tennessee

We have been to pigeon forge 100 times but never stayed in a cabin. This was the first time. It was great The only thing is I was wish check out was a little later than 10 AM

Excellent time spent at cabin. Extremely clean and well appointed. Door hinges could be oiled, lol, and exact directions on the use of the hot tub. Very minor. The whole experience was awesome and can not wait to do it again. Would recommend Bear Camp to anyone interested in renting a cabin in the pigeon Forge area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dancing Bear cabin. After driving more than 9 hours with 2 year old, it was nice to see that the house was clean and ready for us. Great house, great vacation! Highly recommend

Iuliia Merino – 09/21/2016

This was our first stay with Bear Camp and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you for making the check in process so easy and having everything ready and clean for us! We'll definitely book with you again!

Douglas Strasbaugh – 07/31/2016

We absolutely loved Dancing Bear Cabin. Our only trepidation about the cabin was the one way, partially gravel road up the mountain. Anyone planning on renting the cabin should definitely have the appropriate vehicle to travel those roads. The cabin was secluded and positively spotless. We plan to return next summer and hope to stay in the same cabin.

Rebecca BONNER – 07/30/2016

Excellent! The cabin was pristine. It was well stocked, clean and had all the amenities for us to enjoy. We will be back!

Kenneth Rogers – 07/06/2016

My family and I stayed at Dancing Bear cabin during spring break. The cabin was beautiful, it looked exactly like the pics online. Check in was simple, the ladies in the office were pleasant and they had everything ready when we arrived. The road to the cabin was a bit scary but worth it, the view was lovely and it was quiet. We were extremely pleased with everything and really enjoyed our stay!

Lynn Confer – 04/02/2016

Everything was perfect, as it always is when we rent from you! We really appreciate you guys!!

Gary Horne – 12/17/2015

We loved the cabin. This is the second time we have used y'all and we have enjoyed your experience a both times. We will definitely continue using y'all in the future!!

Colby Clements – 12/06/2015

Everything was fine. The road to Dancing Bear was a little slick when we arrived due to the falling leaves and the recent rain, but the leaf-blowing guys cleared the road on Friday.

Jerry P Gooch – 11/16/2015

Overall reserving this cabin was easy & staff when checking in was very friendly.

Christie Wilson – 10/21/2015

It was a great stay. The bear trying to get in the cabin was a little scary but other than that it was excellent!

Joshua Jones – 08/14/2015
